Leave skin a little damp. Water plus butter locks in far more moisture than butter alone.

Warm it first

Rub between your palms until it turns to oil, then press into skin. A little goes a very long way.

Our story

My grandma's recipe, my little brand.

I'm Nia, I'm 17 and I live in Croydon. My grandma in Tamale, Ghana, has made shea butter by hand her whole life. When my eczema flared up in Year 10 and nothing from the chemist worked, she posted me a tub. Two weeks later my skin was calm.

I started whipping my own version at the kitchen table and selling jars to friends. Now I buy unrefined shea directly from a women's cooperative near my grandma's village, so every jar supports the women who make it.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

Our body butter is fragrance-light, using only a few drops of sweet orange oil. We also make an unscented version on request. Always patch test first.

How long does a jar last?

A 100ml jar lasts about six weeks with daily use. Best used within 12 months of opening.

Why is it grainy sometimes?

Natural shea can form tiny grains if it gets warm then cools. They melt straight away on skin and don't affect how it works.

Can I return empty jars?

Yes please. Bring five clean jars to the market and get a free lip balm.
